Brian Anthony Muth
February 1, 1985 to August 24, 2004 = a lifetime of enthusiasm and commitment to principle and inspiration to the people that knew him.

Brian had a slogan in his senior Trinity yearbook, "Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying". We certainly understood that. All you’d have to do is look at his “things-to-do-list”. He kept a running TTDL and lived by it. Two days before his first class as a sophomore at the University of Kentucky, Brian was killed in a traffic acident after attending an off-campus college party. He
had too much to contribute to others to let that be the end.

To say that God works in mysterious ways is something that we think of daily. The phrase "life changing experience" is so over used in society today. The only experiences that truely fit that meaning are the tragedies that affect our children. Unfortunately it takes tragedies that involve our kids to bring us to our knees and show us how fragile life is and just how little control we have in protecting them. What forces us back up is the profond love we have for them and the terrifying awareness that no matter what our position in life is, only God is in control of the things that matter to us most.

Brian was a member of the National Honor Society, a Future Business Leader, a Governors’ Scholar, graduated 3rd in his class at Trinity High School, an honor student at Saint Louis University, and several other things. But more than all of that…he was a loyal friend and his word was his bond.

Because of Brian’s life accomplishments and the inspiration he was to others, we started this foundation and intend to see that we make the difference in this community that he would have. We are committed to the same principles that he lived by; dedication and commitment with enthusiasm. His motto: “Be the best at everything you do…if it’s worth your time, it’s worth a 110% effort”, is our dictum.

Brian brought us together for a reason and now it is up to us to see that we make some positive things happen in his community as a result of that union and that is exactly what we aim to do.

Some of his friends and their families are helping his parents write the final chapters of Brian’s life…and it will have a very inspirational ending.
